Hey Y’all, I decided to switch it up and may go to a weekly blog because the demands of life are many and managing my time is a part of the bigger plan. It all comes with the territory when you own your own business and are the only employee. Then there are the everyday tasks of being human and living alone…to the topic – preparation. I am one who in the past has struggled with keeping things going. It’s challenging to do everything on your own, especially when you’ve been a bit spoiled by having had others to help for most of your life.
Lent this year has been a wonderful motivation to me. As I study and pray, meditating on the life and sacrifices of Christ it was inspirational to my sacrifice for Lent…I decided to give up worry and procrastination. These work together for failure when you give in to them, so it had to change for my success in many areas of life. In the past I would sit on my rear, paralyzed by self doubt and fear, overwhelmed with worry about how things will all get done, how I will pay the bills, clean the house, do laundry, dishes, organize, create, attend to my clients needs, keep up with dr visits, and paperwork, show up for commitments to church, family and quilt guild. How….? DO IT now. Modify as needed. Ask for help when its too much alone. Just get it done.
Jesus Christ in His loving mercy and grace, prepares our hearts… for eternal salvation, and in that preparation He shows us how to take on the human life as well. We are called to prayer, and to action. Nothing gets done if you sit back in fear and stagnation. We are called to help each other and this means it goes both ways. We have to learn to ask for help, setting aside pride… and we have to learn to prepare for the day, week, or task at hand…whatever it may be. We grow when we give of ourselves in every way we can, setting aside judgment and selfishness. Sometimes we have to do this for ourselves too.
I am seeing that all of this can lead to successes, a faith filled healthier life, a cleaner, more organized home, business progress, strengthened relationships, and so much more. Call someone you haven’t talked to in too long!! Put it away! Just get it done now then it won’t pile up!!
