Day 29 ~ Fiat

Veni Sancte Spiritus…Come Holy Spirit! Oh Blessed Mother what a fine example you are of willing and sacrificial obedience and surrender to the will of God. Help me to give and stand firmly within my fiat to God’s will too.

I started to say, I will never bear the Son of God, but yet, as a child of God I do bear Him within me. I, though not the vessel for the Messiah’s birth as Momma Mary was, carry Christ to the world in my prayers, words, and actions. Many failures ring in my ears, as the enemy tries to dissuade me from any form of righteousness. Each time I draw closer to Divinity, here comes Satan, like a freight train barreling down the tracks towards me as I freeze in my self-doubt and fear. That’s how he works. AND…That is when I call upon my angels and the saints of Heaven for assistance. Prayer based in love, and a true desire to serve our Lord, is perhaps the most powerful weapon against the devil and is so very healing. So I freeze and I pray, I fail and I pray, I doubt and I pray…I believe, get up, brush myself off, and I pray more…and more… and more.

Lord, may my knees be armored, for the battles of this world keep me upon them. Keep my heart strong in your love to help me to rise again after battles well fought…won or not. Please guide and guard me and those with whom I share this journey. Help us to always be kind and to discern your voice from the crowd and say yes to you and your will, above mankind. Thank you Lord. and Thank you, Momma Mary, for your intercession. Amen.
