Hi there! Today’s readings included the story of Israel, and his son Joseph and his brother’s. Envy took a toll on that family, as it does many. For years the deception led to a separation which was heartbreaking to the father. Eventually the truth came out, but not until after much hardship and a reunion of love, repentance, and forgiveness. So often we let our own envy and jealousy get in the way of what could be beautiful relationships. Every effort made to restore relationship can be healing, even if unsuccessful. Sometimes the efforts are unknown to all but the one striving. Sometimes the efforts are successful, and others completely backfire and make things worse. Whatever the case, God is always there with us and will help us in and through whatever transpires, if and when we call upon Him.
Today the intentions of the St Joseph Novena (day 9 on the one I’m doing) are for mothers, wives and future wives, that they love and pray for their husbands, future spouses, and families., May they grow in holiness. Also we pray that all families and single people who are hurting or struggling find healing and comfort. St Joseph, Terror of Demons, and Protector of the Family… pray for us!!
